Abu Dabbab Beach is home to large sea turtles and offers a rare opportunity to encounter resident dugongs in their natural habitat. You can swim alongside sea turtles over lush seagrass meadows located between two stunning house reefs. Snorkelers can easily enter the water directly from the shore and discover the rich marine flora and fauna that make this area so special.

Abu Dabbab Turtle House Day Trip from Hurghada Your day begins with hotel pickup in the morning between 5:30 and 6:30 AM, depending on your hotel location. You will travel by comfortable minibus to the famous Abu Dabbab Bay near Marsa Alam, one of the most beautiful snorkeling destinations on the Red Sea and widely known as the “Turtle Bay”.
Abu Dabbab is famous for its crystal-clear water, sandy beach, and rich marine life. During the excursion, you will have the opportunity to snorkel with a guide and explore the colorful underwater world of the Red Sea. Strong swimming skills are recommended, as turtles are often found farther from the shore.
The bay is home to many sea turtles of different sizes. Visitors can also see large schools of tropical fish, moray eels, rays, and reef sharks. From time to time, lucky guests may even spot the rare dugong, also known as the sea cow. Dugongs are large marine mammals that feed on seagrass and can grow up to 3 meters long and weigh around 400 kilograms.
Guests can relax on the beautiful sandy beach and use the available sunbeds, straw wind shelters, umbrellas, showers, and toilets.
